Georges Briard made this set called "Spanish" of cups and snack plates to accompany his "Spanish" scroll barware. It is easy to imagine the cup and saucer at a Palm Beach party or some other luncheon scene anywhere from New York to LA! Proper attire might have been a dress above the knee, perhaps dressy bellbottoms. ...maybe hot pants? The ladies had the luxury of staying home and not worrying too much about where the next dollar came from.The size of the cups and plates helped to assure yourself that you would not eat or drink too much unless you have the barware to match! Fun addition to your mcm theme, ready for those tiny appetizers or just to display! Ready for post covid party! These came from a household with the required swimming pool, mcm house styling, successful husband image, probably a cleaning lady and the mother who stayed at home with the children.
