Product Description About Clothes Moths in Your Home : The adult body length of the moth is 5-7mm, and the wing width is 13-15mm. The larvae are milky white and 8-9mm long. Around 4 generations a year. The clothes moth larva is a small white caterpillar hidden in a silky bag or net (called a tube nest). The body of the adult clothes moth has bright golden scales, its head is golden red, and its antennae are darker than the rest of the body. The female moth is slightly larger than the male moth. The adult female moth can survive for 3-4 weeks and lay 35-50 eggs on the surface of clothing during mating. The eggs are white, soft and round, and hatch into larvae within 5 days. Feeding on wool, hair, fur, and feathers, larvae move slowly. May damage textiles and endanger animal specimens in libraries or museums.
