He had a machine shop and also did sheet metal/ auto body work. I don't know which hammers were best for which job. I don't even know the names of all the hammer types. I trust if you're here looking you know what you're looking at. Hammers range in size from 8" to 15". The head is a bit loose on a couple of them- please see last picture to see the hammers that are a bit loose on the handle. The orange Pittsburgh dead blow mallet is not vintage-and a couple others look newer, but most are vintage, gramma says. Name brands- Plumb, Mag, Pittsburgh, Stanley, Stanley Magnetized Estwing, Blue Grass, many names have worn off or are unbranded. Types: claw, mason, tack, pein, staright, cross, dead blow, mallet. I could be wrong here- so look at pictures and do your research to confirm. Starting from right and moving left I'll describe each hammer: 1. Plumb 4" Red handle ball pein2. Antique ball pein on one end and pry bar on the other end3. I can read the word "Drop" and that's it- brand worn off4. Small claw hammer- unbranded5. Mag BH16 ball pein6. Green handle, unbranded, I don't know what you call this type hammer- maybe a mason pein? 7.NO LONGER AVAILABLE 8. Pittsburgh dead blow 2 lb mallet9. Magnetized Stanley # 54395 tack hammer 10. Stanley Hickory handle # 54463- I don't know what type hammer this is 11. Small hammer Unbranded tack hammer 12. Can't read brand- I don't know what type hammer this is13. Name worn off tack hammer 14. Brand worn off- split handle- securely taped. I don't know what type hammer this is 15. Wood mallet16. Blue Grass Fiber Glass handle curved claw hammer17. Estwing straight claw hammer I'd like to sell them together in one big lot. Not opposed to breaking into smaller lots- Will ship USPS ground advantage.
