Hillyer Ryder assigned this the first variety RR-1 believing this a pattern for the Vermont series, while Ken Bresset believed it was both a mule and circulating counterfeit assigning it last as 26-Z. Struck on a small planchet, appearing as if struck off center. Estimated 30 to 40 known, these were likely struck around 1789 in Machin's Mills, listed on page 55 of the 2023 Guide book.
