Description: This is an original 1863 American civil war coin, NOT a reproduction. Technically it's a token since it has no intrinsic face value. The obverse reads "IF ANYBODY ATTEMPS TO TEAR IT DOWN SHOOT HIM ON THE SPOT" - with "DIX" right in the center. This token acted as a rallying cry to protect Ft Dix The reverse reads "THE FLAG OF OUR UNION 1863" with an image of the American flag right in the middle It's not a graded coin so please take a very careful look at all the photos which provide the majority of this listing description.
