Mari" of the Confederate Army of Northern Virginia, during the American Civil War (1864)Sergeant Mari rammed another bullet home in his Springfield, lifted the rifle to his shoulder, and carefully took aim at the advancing blue line. For a moment, Sergeant Mari remembered the lush Shenandoah Valley before the swarm of Yankees had devastated the landscape. Gall rose in his throat when he learned that General Grant had ordered the destruction of Virginia "so that crows flying over it... will have to carry their own provender." So, Sergeant Mari fired, fell back and reloaded, though outgunned and outnumbered, in the years to come, no one would ever say he was outfought.The Confederate States of America (CSA), commonly known as the Confederation, were established in 1861, announcing their separation (secession) from the Union, ie the United States of America. This event, as well as many others, also of considerable importance, led to the outbreak of the bloodiest war in the history of the United States, known as the American Civil War, which was fought in the years 1861-1865. Of course, both in the North and in the South, when the war broke out, the army began to be built."Series 77 Miniatures" was founded by Pat Bird and John Tassel to produce 77mm size miniatures (hence the company name); with their only fantasy line released around November 1979.
