Collated complete. A historical fantasy work by Rudyard Kipling, a series of short stories set across different periods of English history. Rudyard Kipling was an English novelist, short story writer, poet and journalist. He was born in British India, a setting which inspired much of his work. CONDITION In the publisher's original cloth boards with pictorial design and gilt details. Externally, very smart. Light shelf wear to boards extremities and joints. Minor bumping to head and tail of spine. Gilt rubbed away in places. Contemporary ink inscription to front free end paper, dated May 6th 1907. Another small ink inscription to rear paste down. Internally, firmly bound. Pages generally bright and clean with the odd spot. Closed tear to 247/8, approximately 2 inches.
