Description: (1939). This exquisite casting of a the mythological winged Pegasus is attributed to the 1939 New York World's Fair. These finials were supposedly used as decor near the Billy Rose's Aquacade building. Later, these were repurposed in Coney Island after the fair was dismantled and elements were reused across the city and surrounding metropolitan area. The design is absolutely striking and is double sided with a post mount through the center of the piece. Solid aluminium. 15"x17".
