Description: $450 plus shipping Rare 1940s silk satin bias cut lounge set by Lois Russell Honolulu. The robe has beautiful big tropical flower 🌺 appliqués as well as screen printed details. It has nice covered buttons with loops and none are missing. The robe is bias cut and has pleated and padded shoulders for a wonderful early 40s look. The long sleeves come to a point at the cuffs. The palazzo pants are very wide leg and high waisted. They fasten with two snaps and two hook and eyes at the waist. I believe that the appliqués were added. Possibly the screen print was fading so someone cut out the flowers and added the red satin. They did a nice job and it matches the pants really well. The robe has a hole on the right side near the hem as well as a faint stain near it. One sleeve hem needs to be tacked down. The second from the bottom button is very stiff going through the loop. The pants are in great condition with no issues.
