Description: 1947-1950 MONTHLY FILM BULLETIN hardcover book by Richard Baer from the Hollywood Film Archive. These were initially being compiled by Richard Baer in 1989 and he never was able to get these going like he did with many other of his publications (Variety, American Film Institute, Film Superlist, New York Times Film Reviews, Screen World and so forth). This is probably the only copy to have ever existed (or perhaps a handful). This book contains reprints of each edition of the MONTHLY FILM BULLETIN for the corresponding years. Entire book is in black and white, printed in 1989. Please refer to my photos. Many of the books that the Hollywood Film Archive were able to release were a result of the items that I sell today which belonged to Elmer S. Kadar of Cleveland (Academy Film Service, Vienna Homes & Books, etc) as Kadar not only worked in the film industry for more than 50 years but he was also a serial collector. I have included an image of correspondence that gives insight into this book (as well as the other three on my account) - the letter WILL NOT be included unless you purchase 2/3 of these books in which case it will go to whoever purchases the majority (since there is only one letter that makes most sense). LANGUAGE: English PAGES: Not paginated so approx 2,000 MEASURES: 8.75” x 11.5” CONDITION: Front and back cover slight discoloration, corner wear and edge wear. Internal pages are nearly pristine outside of the very first inside cover page and back side having a red blotch as shown in pictures.
