Description: This is a PSA 8 NM-MT, 1969 Topps #85 Rookie Card of one of the greatest forwards in basketball history, Dave DeBusschere. A member of both the College and Naismith Memorial (NBA) Basketball Halls of Fame, DeBusschere's athletic career was extraordinary: a three-time All-American at the University of Detroit Mercy, he then tried his hand at major league baseball, pitching for two years for the Chicago White Sox. DeBusschere then went on to the NBA, first playing with the Detroit Pistons for six years, while also coaching the team for three of those years, and was named to the 1963 NBA All-Rookie Team while with the Pistons. He was traded to the New York Knicks in 1968, and went on to excel for that squad for six years, helping to lead the team to two NBA Championships along the way. Over the course of his spectacular twelve year NBA career, DeBusschere was named to the All-Star Team eight times and earned NBA All-Defensive First Team honors a remarkable six times.
