Description: RESTORED BEAUTY...Victorian Antique Child’s Dresser/Chest of Drawers Circa 1875-1895 This was a barn find that needed meticulous restoration! It was sadly neglected but I knew it was a winner! Restored from top to bottom as needed I have left lots of character beauty marks in place in keeping with it’s history Reeded trim below bottom drawer is a replacement I restored the finish all by hand with my favorite choice of old school hand rubbed varnish to protect the walnut & showcase its amazing beauty!! Very Rare & Unique Charming child’s size chest of drawers Drawer fronts & upper corner posts are lovely burled walnut veneers… Carved trim on corner posts adds nice detail Solid American Black Walnut walnut throughout, secondary wood is Poplar The walnut looks rich & stunning! The top is spectacular especially when in the direct sunlight!! End grain of top has some fill in (see close up photo of end grain) The bronze knobs are antique but not original, I love the detail in the casting Perfect as a nightstand, end table or a conversation piece any where you decide to show it!!
