19th c. Antique Papier Paper Mache Cake Basket Handle Mother Pearl Painted Black

Description: Here is a black lacquered papier mache handled basket from the 19th Century and most likely made in France. It has a fancy metal swinging handle. Insets of Mother of Pearl and hand painted florals. It is about 9 inches across. The condition is good. The inside of the basket is not as shiny as the bottom. There is only a tiny piece or two of missing MOP. Very attractive piece. Please look at all photos and blow up as they are a huge part of the description and show dimensions.
