Description: This is an official account of the 21st Army Ordnance Group in the North West Europe Campaign during the Second World War. The Group was the logistic backbone of the front-line fighting formations. Elements of the Group landed on Normandy on D-Day 6th June 1944 and over the coming weeks the logistic organisation expanded rapidly. The services provided by the Group ranged from ammunition and fuel, engineering stores, transport, storage of weapons (artillery, small arms, armoured vehicles and much more) to bath and laundry facilities and stores recovery.
