Description: Here are 2 of the most bright clean clear watercolors of birds I have seen outside of what the copies of what the original Audubon works look like. I would consider Ms. Evans a folk artist self taught:at least there are no records of her schooling. She did appreciate art and liked to paint. They almost leave one breathless by her attention to detail and use of color. She was also good at lettering. All birds hand drawn and all of the writing is hand written along with the the names of the birds. At first glance one assumes that they are prints and colored but with a loop everything looks like pen & ink. She was from Roanoke Virginia. These are truly a treasure.
