They learned the skill from wandering Venetian traders, and created glass ornaments to adorn the Tannenbaum for the winter solstice festival. Early Christians adopted this custom to celebrate the birth of Christ, and the Christmas tree was born. After World War II the Krebs Family moved from Bohemia to Rosenheim, Bavaria, Germany, to continue the tradition. During the postwar years our family built a reputation for fine traditional ornaments, developing the exclusive colors and designs for which we are known throughout the world. The American plant, established in 1973, continues to enlarge and enhance this tradition. Proclaiming our pride in quality, each ornament wears the Krebs Crown which is become our trademark.
