What's on this DVD; General Joseph W. Stilwell and The Burma War 1st Film: "General Stilwell". This is biography of "Vinegar Joe" as he was called because of his frankness. This is a Big Picture film produced by the US Army. From his youth, through WW1, to the Burma Campaign of WW2, to Ledo Rd, and finally home to rest. Great story! He was one of those men who were at the right place at the right time for us as Americans. Total Run-time 27:00 Min's 2nd Films: "Stilwell's Road". This film is one of the most complete story of the Burma campaign and includes many of the other nations British General's like Wingate and Alexander. This Film was produced by the Army to show the war in Burma and how Gen. Stilwell and others fought the Japanese back to victory with the end showing the building and completion of the LEDO RD. This film has a lot of historic footage of the Burma Campaign. This is a very comprehensive film on the Burma struggle. Run-time 50:34 Min's 3rd Film: "P-40 AVG's Flying Tigers". Known as the "American Volunteer Group", this is a collection of newsreels on the Famous Flying Tigers and their fight in China and Burma. Then, AVG defends Airbases and lots of aerial combat footage with the Japanese. The last film clip is called Fighter kills and it shows them killing a lot of trains and sampans. Great to see. Run-time 12:05 Min's 4th Film: "The Hump and Ledo Rd". Now, we added a film called "Over the Hump" Plus newsreel on the LEDO Rd. Very rare footage and narration of the struggle to accomplish this feat. Great stuff!!! Run-time 15:33 Min's 5th Film: "AAF Bombs Burma". This is a collection of Newsreels from the Army Air Forces. 1st, Bombing Burma. 2nd, Japanese Base Bombed. 3rd, Attack in Burma. 4th, China Strikes. 5th, Burma Bombed. 6th, Strike Kweilin. 7th, Attack on Rangoon. Great stuff!!! Runtime 14.33 Min's 6th film; "USAAF Bombing Burma". 1st, Jan. 945 Bombing Burma. 2nd, Bomb Japanese Bases in Burma. 3rd, April 1945 Attacks in Burma. 4th, China Strike. 5th, April 1945 Burma Bombings. 5th, Strike at Kweilin. 6th, May 1945 Attack on Rangoon.
