Description: This is a very interesting 9" tall Monk figure done in a pottery with the heavy green and yellow glaze. The top looks to be some sort of candle or incense holder (This one is filled with wax and a wick it is a candle) I am not sure what this was supposed to be used for, but it has been used now as a candle. The subject is a large traveling Monk figure. You can look at the face and see this is some sort of pottery hand crafted with the body glaze. No chips or cracks, please see pictures there is a 2 character marking in red , as well as an impressed mark in the bottom and it is linnen pressed bottom, also note the darkened patina on bottom. I am unsure of the age, and again not sure what this was used for, maybe an altar of some sort. Please see pics, and feel free to ask any questions.
