Although this is not real money, this is a unique conversational item that is sort of neat! On the obverse, there's a profile of Abraham Lincoln. It has the dates of his presidency as 1861 and 1865. Of course, he was the president during the entire time of the Civil War. Above Lincoln's head, it has 16th President, U.S.A. Beneath his bust, it has Abraham Lincoln. On the reverse of the token is a lengthy engraving that reads, "The most revered American. Served as president throughout the great Civil War. Noted for his immortal Gettysburg Address." It appears this token could be made out of brass. I am not sure. It is slightly used. I have owned it since the early 1960s. Please check out the attached photos.
