Manufactured ca. 1960s by A.B. Urfabriken, Svängsta in Sweden, this heart-shaped early model has no serial number marked on the reel. Features a lightweight aluminum body and spool construction with black satin backed-on enamel finish and a heavily coated off-white textured bezel. Mechanically perfect with all controls and adjustments working as intended. Cosmetically in good overall condition with minor blemishes as seen in the pictures. The ABU 444 is a popular reel among collectors due to its vintage design and excellent craftsmanship.
