Description: Neolithic beads, 5,000-3,000 years B.C. made with flint tools and bow drills. found in early settlement in The Sahara Desert, North Africa.Excavated beads found in the ground in Mali (not burial beads).The exterior of the rock quartz is russet color from being buried in iron-rich soil.One has a chip showing the pure white quartz.One photo used flash and made the beads look very white.. they are more reddish from the iron soil.The largest bead is one inch across, showing in the 4th photo. The other 2 are only slightly smaller.
