Description: Antique 1848 Primitive Wood Sign Panel Merchant Business Architectural Salvage Size: 21.5"31"1" Antique auction find. Age 1848 +/-. Board has old square nail which were manufactured from 1700s-1830. The nails match the criteria of the date cut into board. Board came from an antique shop liquidation auction in northwestern Pennsylvania. Sadly the owner of the antique shop was deceased so there was no available info on the items origins. The top right is angled downward. Wood is naturally weathered and has cracks, rough edging, missing wood on bottom right and other age related wearing. Exact purpose unknown, but it was obvious part of a structure based on angle on top and old square nails. Please see pictures for overall condition and feel free to ask questions.
