Description: From a local auction here in Virginia, these are sliding weights that were probably used for weighing tobacco, cotton or peanuts on an iron balance beam scale. The holes of the two larger weights have been filled (with lead?) to modify them to be a custom weight. Those weigh about 7.75 lbs. each and the smaller one weighs 4 lbs.
