Description: Antique Japanese Hand Hammered Copper Tea Pot appraised by Asian Authority. Estimated to be between 200 and 300 years old made in the Edo period. The hand craftsmanship of this teapot is superb. While the shape is quite classic and simple the workmanship is IMO remarkable. All hand hammered and formed, the graceful shapes of the spout and the handle are classic and elegant. The lid is made perfectly to fit smoothly into the top of the pot. It has never been cleaned or polished leaving the patina to darken and mellow over time. The interior is silvered and shows age. There are no dents or damage of any kind. The makers mark can be seen at the side of the spout. The interior of the lid reveals the original copper color. Measurements are shown in the photos. PRICE LOWERED ON 01/23/2024 !!
