Description: MTS ANTIQUE JEWELLERY BOXES WONDERFUL FIGURED WALNUT ANTIQUE JEWELLERY/VANITY BOX - FAB INTERIOR For sale is a WONDERFUL LARGE figured walnut antique restored and repolished jewellery box. Dates approximately 1860/1890. In WONDERFUL restored condition. FULLY LOCKS Its becoming harder and harder to obtain boxes in this sort of condition. The box is in wonderful restored condition. No missing or replaced veneer. Lovely figured walnut veneer in pretty good order considering its age. Original solid brass central cartouche and keyhole escucheon. The box also retains its original fixed silk deep buttoned inner backing board to the lid. The inner silk edges to the lid are also original to the box. Minor marks but in pretty good condition considering the boxes great age. FULLY LOCKS. The boxs has a drop down front that reveals the two inner long compartments. These are great for necklaces or bracelet's. The inner compartments dividers to the bottom of the box measure 85mm x 60mm x eight compartments. These can easily be removed or repositioned if desired. It is a really terrific box!! I’M PRETTY SURE THAT YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. Box retains the original solid brass lock, hinges and top catch. Supplied with a silk tassel and Victorian key that FULLY LOCKS the box. Instruction given once sold. YOU ONLY GET THIS TYPE OF QUALITY FROM US. Comprising a wonderful interior that boasts a later wooden removable tray that has been finished to a superb standard that compliments. This has been relined in expensive velvet material of the highest quality. All the added dividers within the tray can easily be repositioned or removed if desired. Beneath the base of the box and tray has also been lined in velvet to stop any scratches to other surfaces. A superb box, and would make a fantastic gift.
