Description: From the private Collection of Sound Investments USA LLCAntique keyed alto Suona Chinese Clarinet Vintage Copper bellwoodwind antique with copper bell early 1900’sThe Bell is 6.25" in diameter Entire instrument is 30" Here is the only history I have of this one:THIS INSTRUMENT WAS PURCHASED FROM THE FAMILY OF A BAND MEMBER OF DOC SEVERINSEN’S TONITE SHOW BAND FROM THE JOHNNY CARSON SHOW. HE TRAVELED ALL OVER THE WORLD AND COLLECTED HIGH END WOODWIND INSTRUMENTS. I BOUGHT THE COLLECTION. This is a antique Chinese SUONA keyed alto with extra reeds as shown The bottom half is straight Boehm clarinet and the top half is ?Pads and keys seem fine and all keys work wellTHE BODY IS A DARK WOOD POSSIBLY EBONY. THE KEYS SEEM TO BE NICKEL AND THE BELL IS COPPER.
