I have been buying and selling for art, and have never encountered anything like this artwork. There is some writing on the stretcher bar which indicated the stretcher bar was purchased in San Antonio, Texas. This painting possibly depicts a commander from a Texas Air Force base, perhaps you recognize him? The painting is signed by the artist, T. Dufour in lower left. This is possibly another Airman artist. Based on the apparent age of the frame and canvas, and age of the plane, this is probably 50 s - 60 s, and maybe even early Vietnam era. It is a Very Big painting, approximately 41 1/2 x 45 1/2 inches (including frame.) Actual artwork is approximately 35 7/8 x 40 inches. A coke can is included in a few photos to show scale.
