Description: This is a sweet little Antique Regency mahogany veneer and box wood strung tea caddy. It has a diamond shaped inlay escutcheon, lift up lid opening to reveal a removable tea caddy with a fitted cut glass sugar bowl and green felt lining. Interior caddy is made of mahogany. The back is veneered fiddle back mahogany. The caddy measures approximately 5.5 inches high by 9 inches by 5.5 inches deep. Pine secondary wood. Wear consistent with age and use. No missing pieces, obvious repair or restoration to box. Bowl is not original and has chip to foot. Lid does not fully close with bowl inside. The item(s) are antique and sold as is/as found unless otherwise noted. Because they are old, they were used and will not look new or new-like. They likely show wear, fading, scratches, chips, cracks, past repair/restoration, original imperfections and/or damage from normal use. Significant issues are shown in photos.
