Description: A very nice mid to late 1800’s sprung French door bell mounted on a iron spike. The bell ha a good clear ring and this particular example is a solid brass bell. Complete with original clanger. The spring is steel,the bell brass ,and the clanger and spike are iron. Height 32.5 cm, 325 mm, 12.75 inches. Length of spike 19cm, 190mm, 7.5 inches. Diameter of bell 7.5cm, 75mm, 3 inches. Nice patina not over polished. A great addition to a shop country house etc. Sold as found.
