Good used condition.The New Hudson Cycle Co. was originally formed in 1890 by George Patterson, and manufactured 'safety' bicycles in Birmingham. They produced their first motorcycle in 1903. The family sold the factory to H.J. Bructon after WW1, and in 1920 the company was reformed as New Hudson Ltd. The company was taken over by BSA cycles in the late 1920s and by 1933 had ceased all production of motorcycles. In 1940 the New Hudson autocycle was introduced but was later rebadged as a BSA. Premier Cycle Co Multi-Spanner. 1902-14 - A rare, genuine antique toolkit combination spanner manufactured in England by The Premier Cycle Co Ltd., for use with their range of bicycles. Likely to date from between 1902 and 1914.The spanner incorporates 3 different size jaws, the smallest being 9.75mm (0.38 inches) and the largest 15.5mm (0.6 inches) across, and a flat-bladed screwdriver. The spanner is marked with the “Premier Cycles” name. Length: 147.5mm (5.8 inches). In 1914 it changed its name to Coventry Premier Ltd, and continued as such until sold to Singer in 1920.
