Description: Listing is for a Vintage Armspear Louisville & Nashville Railroad Lantern in excellent + original condition - No visible rust anywhere - Check out the close up photos of all parts of the Lantern - The inside of the Lantern Top is clean with no rust or even much soot - The Lantern Frame (Cage) is straight and "tight"...No wobble or leaning - The Patent Numbers and Dates cast into the Body of the Lantern below the Globe are bright and crisp - No corrosion - The Latch is tight and holds the Lantern Top, (and Globe) securely in place - The Drop Down Fount is excellent, the Brass release Tab is bright and straight; the Fount is clean and has "no holes or damage" anywhere and was given the "Light test" in a darkened room - no pinpricks of light showing - it would hold Kerosene if someone wished to use this Lantern; the Brass Burner is Bright and works - it adjusts the ample (original??) Wick up and down with no issues. This is a beautiful Antique Lantern form a "Famous Railroad", that is still "Functional" and would surely add to anyone's Collection of Fine Railroadiana.
