This piece is one of two known test molds to survive. Molded and painted by Tom Savini himself. I took this to a horror convention where Mr. Savini examined it and proclaimed "Yeah, this is my work. How did you get it?" I explained the mask was purchased 18 years ago on EBAY. It was one of two that were smuggled out by a special effects crew member. The other known mask is in a private collection of a very familiar/famous horror beat writer. He declined to buy it because he already owned the other one.
