Description: Vintage Blue Ridge Southern Pottery Dinner Plates * 2 Beautiful Floral Plates featuring a large purple and blue ribbon-type flower and two purplish-red tulips. I believe this is the Whirligig pattern, since the main flower is the same and I've seen considerable variation in the painting of the secondary flowers. It could also be the Rutledge, but the main flower in Rutledge seems to be all blue, rather than purple and blue. * Approx 9.25" diameter * Hand painted * Each plate has several edge chips, barely noticeable from the front, but quite evident from the back. There are also flea bites in the glaze on the back from where they rested in the kiln. Please check out the pictures.
