All hand rubbed finish looks amazing! Rush caning looks to be original, I sealed it! It is not perfect underneath as you would expect with its age! I chose not to replace it! A noteworthy detail is the back splat is planed to have a curve & is not simply flat, much more comfortable on your back & more craftsmanship required to make it curved! I inlaid a small area of Birdseye maple on the front left top of the leg where a piece was missing, also restored hairline cracks on rear rung & upper right post just below back rest If you love American Federal furniture especially with beautiful Tiger & Birdseye maple than this piece may be perfect for you!
