Description: Ceramica D'Urso Vietri, Vietri sul Mare 10" Plate "PALUMBO" Design, Blue Rings This is an interesting plate that I haven't been able to learn a lot about. Clearly, the maker is Ceramica d'Urso Vietri, located in Vietri sul Mare, near Salerno and the Amalfi Coast of Italy. It is a hand decorated plate with a quirky yellow logo on the front, which looks like two fighting fish and the mark "Palumbo." (I see that Palumbo is part of the lengthy name of the Vietri store for Ceramica d'Urso). The round shape is highlighted by a wide blue band and narrow blue band at the rim. The plate is in very good condition, with no chips, cracks, or crazing that I can see, and only extremely light signs of utensil marks or wear. The tan back has a hand-written mark for Cer. D'Urso Vietri SA. The unglazed footring has two pierced areas, indicating that the blank is also used for wall plates.
