Description: Damage to two corners which have been roughly touched up with enamel paint (fingernail polish). Fools the eye but not for long. Enamel fill on one corner which appears as dark spot on one corner. Opens smoothly and closes tightly, as it should, with no gaps. Solid interior metal retaining arms in tact with strong spring action. *Superficial spec of enamal and gold wash loss mentioned for accuracy. A wonderful piece that represents the craftsmanship and artistry of China, c.1920, possibly earlier.
