I have not seen similar pieces like these being sold recently. The craftsmanship and finish on this brooch is superbly exquisite and gives it the look and feel of real gold and emeralds. This is a rare very collectable vintage mythical dragon three dimensional brooch/pendant. The brooch pendant is two tone 18K yellow and white gold plated metal alloy. The white gold plated area is finished with a matte textured surface. The remainder of the brooch/pendant has a heavy 18k gold plated textured layer. The underside of the brooch is decorated with the Ciner hallmark "C", seen in most Ciner pieces and is engraved with the CINER hallmark. The single eye is a tiny high top faux emerald cabochon. The wings and head of the dragon are pavé with ice clear Swarovski crystals. There is a round loop/bale so it may be worn on a ribbon as a choker or a rope necklace as a pendant. It is an exquisitely beautiful, rare and an exotic piece! Dimensions/Weight : All measurements and weight are approximate Measures ~ 3” L x 2 ¼”W and ½”H. Weight ~ 46 grams. Condition: This piece is pre-owned vintage. Most of my Ciner pieces belonged to my Mom originally. Many were purchased from Nordstrom and other high end department stores. They were carefully stored and hardly worn. The brooch pendant will come in the original Nordstrom gift box. The yellow and white plating of the brooch has tiny specks of tarnish, nothing unsightly and they hardly show unless magnified. The piece is fairly clean and shiny but may need gentle cleaning as they have been in storage for over 60 years and has some tarnished areas. There are no darkened or missing crystals. The crystals have all retained their bright lustrous diamond like sparkle. The pin of the brooch is straight, sharp and fits into the roll over latch which fastens securely. NOTE: These are part of my personal collection of vintage costume jewelry by CINER. It has been in storage for years and may need a small amount of cleaning. Most of my Ciner pieces have been gently worn. I do not clean my pieces as I am not an expert and some cleaning agents can be corrosive to vintage costume jewelry. This item is being SOLD AS IS.
