Swords & uniform not included! ) Civil war field glasses / binoculars Diminutive ‘ cavalry size ‘ 4 1/4 “ wide 3 “ long when closed 4” long when fully extended Fairly Clear optics There is some cloudy crazing to the front left lens some minor age / dust on the eye pieces Both leather coverings on the barrels are intact The type of field glasses were used by the soldiers from both the north and south during the war between the states unmarked these are NOT the commonly seen post war ‘ opra glasses ‘ These have the large gutta-percha adjusting wheel The blackened brass tubes have a pleasing patina The leather coverings are in fair / good condition , They are dry with age just starting to shrink with a few minor dings and scrapes to the finish There are minor dings on the outer rims of the front eyepieces , The adjusting wheel easily rotates Don’t pass them up ! Real American civil war era small sized field glasses , the exact type carried by cavalry troopers ( both north and south ) in their saddle bags
