Published by Baldwin, Cradock and Joy, London - 1822. Columbia; Being a Geographical, Statistical, Agricultural, Commercial, and Political Account of That Country, Adapted for the General Reader, the Merchant, and the ColonistThis is the most extensive account of the newly formed Republic of Columbia (1830), which at the time of writing included not only present day Columbia, but also Panama, Venezuela and Paraguay. Of Walker, he was a friend of Miranda - the great Venezuelan patriot. Walker thanks him for help in amassing the material in these 2 volumes, and was involved with a British group of investors that were trying to encourage settlement and investment in Columbia.
