Continental Currency Fr#CC-14 November 29, 1775 $4 PMG 40

Description: The November 29, 1775 Continental issue was redeemable for Spanish milled dollars. This $4 note features an emblem of a boar charging a spear. This emblem is encircled by the latin motto “AUT MORS AUT VITA DECORA” (Either death or an honorable life). The reverse features nature print of skeletonized maple fruit. Absolutely gorgeous example with strong paper, bold ink and signatures. PMG notes stain but I cannot identify anything worthy of this comment… Signers: Thomas Smith, William Crispin Date: November 29, 1775 Denomination: $4 Friedberg #: CC-14 State: Continental Certification: PMG Grade: 40 Comments: “Stain”
