Description: Craig H260 Eight-Track Stereo Tape Player/Recorder This is mine and not a yard sale purchase. I used it up until I started driving with a cassette player in my car. 1979ish. Excellent condition cosmetically for its age. A little dusty from storage. I found this while cleaning out my parent's house. For the below reasons this unit is sold AS IS and for Parts Only. Worked perfectly back in the day. I plugged it in today for the listing and the unit lit up. I put an 8 track tape in it and it appeared to be in working condition. The Fast Forward worked. The Pause worked. The Eject worked. The Timer worked. However, the Left VU meter pegged and the Right VU meter didn't move. The "1" program lit up. The "3" and "4" lit up sporadically. The "2" never lit up. After ejecting, I inserted another 8 track. It seemed to play, but the buttons no longer worked. The program button "clicked," but there were no lights. Did it work and the lights didn't illuminate or did it simply not work? I have no idea. I tried other 8 track tapes, even the one that originally worked, but nothing seemed to work after the original try. I don't have speakers handy to see if music could be heard. The above is the only testing I could think of. Might be an easy and inexpensive fix. Might not be. I have no idea. Again, SOLD AS-IS. Free shipping, but I will ship via the most economical method.
