He had received a personal loan from his future father-in-law, which opened up new possibilities for him. With this loan, Alvin seized the opportunity to acquire a local sno-ball syrup production company called Mill's Fruit Products. This company was situated on Tchoupitoulas Street in the vibrant city. As Alvin delved into his new venture at Mill's, fate seemed to intervene. Hidden away in a drawer, he stumbled upon a long-forgotten hot sauce recipe, labeled as "Crystal Pure." Little did he know that this discovery would become the cornerstone of his success. Inspired by the potential of this hot sauce recipe, Alvin embarked on a journey to reshape the destiny of the company. Under his vision and leadership, Mill's Fruit Products underwent a significant transformation. It was rebranded as Baumer Foods, Inc., marking the beginning of a new era. With unwavering determination and the secret recipe in hand, Baumer Foods, Inc. experienced rapid growth. The company outgrew its original location and, in due course, relocated to a more spacious and advanced facility on Tulane Avenue in the Mid-City area.
