It is compatible with pistols using the RMSc(or 407k/507k) footprint, and has a true 50,000 hour battery life with help from it's shake awake feature. The battery on the CAT is bottom mounted, allowing for limited co-witness(useful for rapid alignment and 5-25ft self-defense engagement, the CAT may not perfectly co-witness with your pistols standard front irons) despite its compact length. Tailored for subcompact guns, it uses an aluminum alloy housing, IPX7 waterproof bottom seal, and shockproof internal component potting.Regarding front iron sight alignment:The rear irons are for rapid alignment and 5-25ft self-defense engagement, the CAT may not perfectly co-witness with your pistols standard front irons. For perfect co-witness we estimate front iron sights need to be between 5-7mm for most pistols.Zeroing:The optic is delivered in a centered position. Normally, this means that only small adjustments are necessary, providingthat the base is properly aligned. Work your way to “zero” by adjusting each turret in small increments.a. To move the point of impact to the right, turn the windage adjustment screw clockwise.b. To move the point of impact up, turn the elevation adjustment screw clockwiseIf you suddenly encounter resistance, do NOT try to force the screw further, this can break the mechanism and render the sight unable to zero.Always Ready, Always OnMDS MODEMDS Stands for Motion Deactivated Standby, Cyelee Optics products will NEVER have an automatic shut-off, they can ONLY be shut off by manually holding the down/- button for 4 seconds.
