Description: Ultra RARE 1920's Metalcraft Corp. St. Louis, USA from their No. 920 kit that a child could build 8 different dirigibles is this fantastic ZEPPELIN Airship as shown in our photos. It measures approximately 1 1/2 ft. in length and the child attached a screw in their project so they could hang it in their room. Even has the cockpit observation room and twin propellers with tail fins. This was a very expensive toy for any parent to give to their child so only a few have ever survived. I am in my late 70's and have collected most of my life and I can honestly say this is absolutely the only example I have ever come across. There is a present listing showing the kit but it's not been put together and I'm not certain it has all the the parts. Most of the kits I've seen show a fabric that would cover the frame of the airship. This Zeppelin is totally different in the fact that it's completely metal. I resembles what one would expect from possibly a Gilbert erector set. Anyway, this will make a sensational addition for anyone's collection of vintage and antique toys. P.S. As noted above we accidently fell in my office into a display of old toys and damaged the metal frame. I took FIVE more photos to show the dents. For your time and labor I've reduced the price dramatically down from $1500. Would love to see this toy when a collector restores it to original condition. Again, sorry for anyone that's been watching this listing but I just turned 80 on Sept. 8th and am not as steady on my feet as I used to be. Thanks for understanding.
