Description: This is a vintage antique sample of barbed wire fencing. This sample features an Alexander C. Decker patent, dated June 03, 1884. This wire is called "Decker's Two Point Narrow Spread Barb on Parallel Lines" by collectors. (ref Hagemeier 286-B). This wire features two round line wires parallel to each other. Barbs are two pointed made by twisting the barbing wire once around each line wire. Wire sample is 18" in length and shows light to moderate pitting. There are three barbs. Barbs are well spaced, and cut is well centered. Line wires show some bending. There are no broken, or missing barbing points.
