Description: The following description came from the internet, and while I am not enough of a computer geek to say it's exactly correct, it certainly appears to be. Speaking of geeks, this was originally purchased from BestBuy and is Geek Squad Certified. It was never opened; the Geek Squad tape is in tact. Not a pop-up, but flat inset at top of monitor. Dimensions 1.5 x 22.7 x 15.2 in. 18 inch height on stand (per question answered on Amazon - I haven't measured myself, but seems right.) Weight - per specs, 18.3 lbs. I haven't ever weighed it out of the box. Comes with MS Office trial software pre-installed Comes with 2 AAA batteries for the keyboard, and 1 AA battery for the mouse The computer does come with a wireless keyboard and mouse. Note: The dongle USB receiver/adapter for both the keyboard and mouse is inside the mouse. Pull up the bottom of the mouse to reveal it and the battery compartment. Pull out the USB receiver and put it in one of the USB ports. I could not find this bit of information in any of the literature that came with the computer, and initially thought the receiver was for the mouse itself. (I hadn't set up this kind of wireless functionality before.) Other Considerations The computer will arrive in a Dell box from Best Buy. The computer is in perfect condition, Geek Squad Certified. You can connect a separate monitor via the HDMI-out port. I used a $25.00 HDMI to VGA adapter from Best Buy to connect a ten year old, 15 inch VGA monitor, and it works fine. (Press Windows Key + P to set up display. I did not need to change the resolution on either monitor.) I don't know if you can connect a separate monitor via USB. . You can use this all-in-one (AIO) as a second monitor. Connect an HDMI cable to another computer's HDMI-out port. (If unlabeled, I believe HDMI-out is the default on most computers.) Then, connect the other end of the cable to the HDMI-In port on this AIO. On the bottom right side of this AIO display, there are four buttons. Press the second button from the bottom for one second and,if properly connected, this AIO will then work as a second monitor. (It took me longer than I want to admit to figure this out. I tried connecting the HDMIcable several times, and nothing happened. I didn't realize I needed to pushthe button. That button also works to turn off the display without turning offthe computer.) There are no DP display ports on this computer. Just HDMI and USB. I'm not an audiophile, but the speaker sounds great to me. It's clear andresonant. Much, much better than the previous laptop I owned. The max volumedoesn't "blast", if that's what you're looking for, but you'll haveno difficulty hearing any type of media while sitting at the machine. The display looks great. If you're looking at a dark screen in a bright room,you will get some reflection. Some monitors are built so you can't see thedisplay if you are standing to the side of them, but the display on thismonitor is visible from all angles.
