Description: For sale today is the absolutely humongous, very rare, and definitely out-of-print (oop) IDW Publishing oversized hardcover (hc) graphic novel Don Rosa's The Life & Times of Scrooge McDuck (Uncle Scrooge), by the man himself, published in 2015. Its measurements are slightly larger than ~20" x ~14". Don Rosa is the universally acclaimed Donald Duck and Uncle Scrooge creator and artistic heir to the remarkable legacy of the 'Good Duck' artist, Carl Barks. Now, with the full cooperation and assistance of Rosa, IDW Publishing is proud to present the first volume of The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck. Included in this edition will be a cover gallery and a selection of Rosa's layouts done for these stories.. I am not a comics grader, but I try to be as thorough as possible when assessing books for any flaws. I don't believe in using a number grade system - to me they are mostly utilized as a method to be ambiguous about exact condition and/or individual imperfections - but I do attempt to describe anything other than minor cover shelf-scuffing/scratching in detail. If a certain flaw discussed below does not mention that it affects inside pages, then it does not. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This copy is in very good overall condition, with a solid spine and great inside pages (photos#14-19 examples of inside front/back covers, first publication cover pages, and some inner pages). From transit during its initial purchase, sadly it does have a few signs of wear - namely some spine corner indents, and a ~1.5" indent around the bottom outer cover corners. Otherwise, the signs of wear are few and lesser in nature, affecting primarily the externals. **Photo#4: -Upper spine corner: Light compression/indenting around it. Tiny peel/tear where it meets on the back cover. **Photo#5: -Lower spine corner: Light compression/indenting around it. Small ding where it meets the back cover that causes a ~3/4" indent around the corner on the cover (photo#10 w/illumination). **Photo#6: -Front cover top edge: Little if any shelf-wear/scuffing.-Outer corner: ~1/2" horizontal indent, tiny ding/tear/scuff at extreme corner. **Photo#7:-Front cover bottom edge: 3 small dings/indents around its middle, 2 more towards outer corner, otherwise light if any shelf-wear/scuffing.-Outer corner: ~1" indent around corner. ~1/2" ding/indent at extreme corner, goes thru ~1/3 pages as a similarly sized crease/light bend. **Photo#8: -Back cover top edge: ~1" scuffing/light indenting near its middle, otherwise little if any shelf-wear/scuffing.-Outer corner: Small peel/scuff. **Photo#9:-Back cover bottom edge: 2 small dings and 3 tiny dings around edge's middle, otherwise light if any shelf-wear/scuffing.-Outer corner: ~1.5" indent around corner. Small ding/indent at extreme corner, with a small tear on the bottom-side. **Additionally: Front cover's page edge has a small and 2 tiny light dings around its middle. Light ~3" horizontal scratch/streak nearby the top outer corner (photo#11 w/illumination). Back cover has some light shelf-scuffing/streaks around its peripherals (photo#12 w/illumination). Tiny dirty mark on the "R" of 'Rosa', and nearby tiny indent/depression and two light ~3.5" streaks/scuffs (all in photo#13 w/illumination). Last inside cover page has 2 small scuffs on the page edge at its lower half. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I both buy to read as well as sell TPBs on here, so I understand how aggravating it is to receive a comic damaged in transit. I always pack books firmly between pieces of cardboard (among other materials/layers) via Gemini Comic mailers or bubble mailers depending on size; usually utilizing boxes for larger lots.
