Description: DUNLUCE CASTLE (1904..1945)Built by Harland & Wolff, Ltd., Belfast, Ireland for the Union-Castle Line, British flag as a 8,114 GT ship with dimensions of 475" x 56". Twin-screw, 14 knots, quadruple expansion engines, two masts and one funnel. She had passenger accommodations for 360. Sold to ship breakers in July 1939, however was taken over by British Admiralty and converted to depot ship. Sold for scrap in 1945. Sister ships were DOVER ASTLE and DURHAM CASTLE.
