The buttons could be moved for length adjustment. The elastic is stretchy in the front of the romper leg opening but not very stretchy in the back of the leg opening. It's gathered but has very little stretch, how ever the leg opening is pretty generous. There is a very small tear as shown in the photo that could be quick stitched. 100 percent cotton. No large areas of discoloration or staining. I really don't see any, but there may be a minor one*" It's a super cute romper and an beautiful condition dating from about 1940s.
