The model and its components are like new. The aircraft is exquisitely marked and includes a diorama base that mimics a South Pacific airfield, complete with a plague with the squadrons designation (VMF-214 "Black Sheep"). I did display the plane, but in the flying attitude on the black stand that is provided with a Dragon models. I did not ever have the base out of the box (except to photograph it for this listing). I have presented photos of the Corsair in flight (as I displayed it). I didn't want to pull the extended landing gear out of the clam shell for photos on the base, only to have to take it all apart again and tape the pieces back in place. Those fiddly bits that were attached to the inflight model have been returned to the clam shell encasement - a small piece of tape and a tiny ziplock bag have been employed to make sure these accessories do not get lost. PLEASE READ - all photos shown are the ACTUAL MODEL THAT YOU WILL RECEIVE (these are not stock photos or pirated from another eBay listing!). While some of the models are new (never removed from the box) most of the models that I am selling have been displayed in a relatively dust-free cabinet and all are completely intact (no missing parts) - that is, THEY ARE IN NEAR NEW SHAPE. ALL HAVE BOXES (in most cases they are in good to great shape - if not, it will be noted).The boldly colored box is also in good condition. I have included numerous photos showing the models from various angles, along with the boxes. I tend to take the photos so they area a bit over-exposed because I believe that increased exposure better accentuates the detail (and any potential flaws). If there are issues with any of the models, this information will be included in this description. AS mentioned above, I some cases, especially with the Dragon Models, I have used scotch tape and/or small ziplock bags to keep the small parts in place in the plastic clam shell (Dragon has its own special tape tabs, which often don’t function well after the part is removed).
